Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined Graduate Level (CGL Tier I & Tier II) exam once a year. SSC-CGL Tier-I and Tier-II both are objective type papers.

(Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee)

Some important points:

- You are only eligible for applying in SSC-CGL ONLY if you have completed your graduation on or before 1st January, 2014.
- You should first get the details about all the job profiles offered through SSC-CGL. If you fill your preference without knowing about the job profiles, you may get a lower job as compared to your marks.
- Don't tick job preference for Statistical invigilator/compiler posts unless you have relevant degrees in commerce, maths or economics.
- In case of multiple applications for on-line application, the last application for which part-I and part-II registration have been completed will be accepted.

Last Date for Receipt of Application Form: 14-02-2014
Last Date for Receipt of Application for Far flung areas: 21-02-2014
SSC-CGL 2014 Eligibility criteria

- At very first candidate must have citizenship of India.
- Subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- A graduate degree in any discipline from any recognized university is required for SSC CGL 2014 exam.
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 year is the limitation of age.
- Age will count as on 01.01.2014
- Relaxation shall given you if you belong from reserved category as per government.
Overview SSC CGL 2014 exam

SSC CGL exam will conduct in three tiers as indicated below –
- Tier I - Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
- Tier II - Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
- Tier III - Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/Document Verification

Note:
- There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I.
- In Tier-II, there is negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and III and 0.50 marks in Paper-I for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier II Written Examination: 30-08-2014 and 31-08-2014
