Data Sufficiency is one of those topics whose questions are asked in IBPS PO & Clerk exams every time, also in other competitive exams. It is considered to be one of the tricky topics because sometimes you may give wrong answers & sometimes you may get confused while choosing the correct answer.
In simple words, Data sufficiency is- Checking whether the given data is sufficient to answer the given question or not.
A question will be given like given below & you will have to choose the correct answer from the given options.
Directions: The questions below consist of a question followed by two statements labelled as (1) and (2). You have to decide if these statements are sufficient to answer the question.Give answer.
(1) If statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question but statement II alone is not sufficient to answer the question.
(2) If statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question but statement I alone is not sufficient to answer the question.
(3) If you can get the answer from I and II together although neither statement by itself sufficient.
(4) If statement I alone is sufficient and statement II alone is sufficient.
(5) Neither statement I nor statement II are sufficient.
So the correct answer will be option (1)
Data sufficiency questions can be from any field like Algebra, simple Maths etc. So, the more questions you practice, the better it will be for you.
I am uploading this PDF which contains some practice questions for Data sufficiency with solution explained.
